The 2nd BTFF will screen "Run For Dream" in October

(Boston Orange) By Chutze Chou The second Boston Taiwan Film Festival will screen the documentary ⟪Run For Dream ⟫ online from October 9th to 12th. A Q&A with director Mao-Sen Huang (黃茂森) is scheduled on October 11 (Sunday) at 8pm Eastern Time. ⟪Run For Dream ⟫ is a documentary about Tommy Chen (陳彥博), the first Asian who completed the world’s 7 continents and 8 major polar ultramarathons and won the four polar supermarathon championships in 2016. He went through the Antarctic Circle, Arctic Ocean, Alaska, the Grand Canyon and many other places of extreme climate or conditions in the past 10 some years, to challeng himself and fulfilling his dream. His persistence demonstrated the NEVER GIVE UP spirit of Taiwanese. Director of this documentary is Mao-Sen Huang, who became famous for shooting Mayday’s , Li Zongsheng’s and other commercials and MVs. He lead a team to follw Tommy Chen to many extreme competetions for more than six months. With the footage they shot and videos, photos they obtained from Tommy Chen’s other extreme advantaures, the “Run For Dream” is finally produced after 2 and half year. The total production cost is more than 60M NT$. The Boston Taiwan Film Festival team stated that the film was selected to celebrate the October 10th National Day. Tommy Chen’s carrying the national flag and goes to so many extreme parts of the earth where most people have no chance to go in their entire lives will be so inspiring. Hopefully, it will touch people’s hearts and encourage more young people pursue their dreams.
