Families and community members of all ages are invited to be a part of the Wah Lum Warrior Spirit Award Kick-A-Thon Party, sponsored by the Wah Lum Kung Fu & Tai Chi Academy of Malden in collaboration with the Malden Recreational Department, and open to the public at the Salemwood School Cafeteria at 529 Salem Street in Malden, on Saturday, April 23, from 12:00PM to 3:00PM.

The party includes a “kick-a-thon” in which Wah Lum martial arts students and members of the community will be performing a variety of kung fu kicks to raise money for the Warrior Spirit Scholarship Award; this award will present $2,000 each to two graduating area high school students who have shown exceptional perseverance in overcoming special adversity. In addition to student demonstrations, there will be music, food, face painting, and games and activities for everyone, with suggested donation of $20.00 per adult and $10.00 for children 12 and under.  All donations will go directly to the Scholarship Award.
