Van Paul Le 暫代越助中心主任

Dear Friends of the VietAID Community:

We are pleased to announce that Van Paul Le, JD, shall serve as the interim Executive Director for VietAID effective January 12, 2015.   Van has served on the Board of Directors for VietAID for the last four years, and has volunteered to step down to aid with organizational management during our transition.  Prior to joining VietAID, Van worked as senior project manager and Executive Director for the Sports Philanthropy Project, a non-profit philanthropy advisory service funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, from 2001-2012.  Most recently, Van established a general law practice in the Fields Corner neighborhood of Dorchester, MA.

A Vietnamese refugee himself, Van's family settled in Allston-Brighton, where he attended Boston Latin Academy, and later Commonwealth School in Boston.  Van earned an AB cum laude in East Asian Studies from Harvard University in 1989 and his law degree from Northeastern University School of Law in 1996.   He was awarded the Michael C. Rockefeller Fellowship, which funded his work with unaccompanied minors in the refugee camps in Palawan, Philippines in 1990.    His professional experience include serving as law clerk for the late Hon. Reginald C. Lindsay in the US District Court - Mass., and associate for the law firm of Ropes & Gray.

With Van's appointment, we want to ensure the VietAID community that we are committed to continuing the high quality programs, services and housing development projects, which VietAID has offered for more than 20 years.

Van will replace Nam Pham, who has been appointed by Governor Charlie Baker to serve as Assistant Secretary under the Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development for the Commonwealth.

Best regards,

Co-Chairs Kevin Dole, MD and Kim Thai, JD
