波士頓城中區協會訂10/30召開公安峰會

        (Boston Orange編譯) 波士頓市中心社區協會（Downtown Boston Neighborhood Association ）將於10月30日（週四）波士頓市中心公共安全峰會下午6點30，在愛默生學院卡特勒大劇院（Emerson Cutler Majestic Theater）舉辦波士頓市中心公安高峰會。

        這峰會將為「一個市中心工作小組（One Downtown Task Force）」提供機會，匯報進展，介紹正在進行的關鍵公安舉措，並討論和探討為確保居民、工作人員、學生和遊客安全並感到安心而需開展的工作。

         今年2月27日，來自波士頓市政府和麻州政府官員、執法機構、社會服務組織、機構合作夥伴、商業和產業協會以及民間組織人員，曾經舉辦過一場波士頓市中心公安會議，10月30日這場是後續會議。

         「一個市中心工作小組」從2月27日正式啟動後，致力尋求改善公安，降低犯罪率，減少無家可歸人數，以期在波士頓市中心及週邊生活、工作、訪問和經商的所有人，整體感覺和生活品質有所改善。。

          波士頓市長吳弭（Michelle Wu）、薩福克郡地方檢察官Kevin Hayden、麻州眾議員麥家威（Aaron Michlewitz）、波士頓市議員愛德華費連（Ed Flynn），以及波士頓市中心協會聯合創始人Rishi Shukla共同擔任這工作小組的主席。

MAJOR DOWNTOWN PUBLIC SAFETY SUMMIT SCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 30th Elected officials and leaders to discuss efforts underway and path forward

BOSTON, Friday, October 10, 2025, 4:45pm ET - The Downtown Boston Public Safety Summit will take place on Thursday, October 30th, 6:30pm, at the Emerson Cutler Majestic Theater (219 Tremont Street in Downtown — doors open at 5:30pm). The Summit is being hosted by the Downtown Boston Neighborhood Association and will provide an opportunity for the One Downtown Task Force to report out on progress, to highlight key public safety initiatives underway, and to discuss and debate the work that remains to ensure that residents, workers, students, and visitors are safe and feel safe.   The Summit is a follow-up to the February 27th Downtown Boston public safety convening, which included city and state officials, law enforcement agencies, social services organizations, institutional partners, business and trade associations, and civic organizations. The One Downtown Task Force, a strategic initiative aimed at improving public safety, reducing crime and homelessness, and enhancing the overall experience and quality of life for all who live, work, visit, and do business in Downtown Boston and surrounding neighborhoods, was launched following the February 27th meeting.
