BAA 公佈賽事日程 2019波士頓馬拉松4/15日舉行

HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM THE BOSTON ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION!
We hope that the New Year brings you great health, happiness, and the opportunity to share memorable stories from our B.A.A. events. Here are a few dates we’d like you to mark on your calendar – see additional graphic attached – as we look ahead through 2019…..a year sure to be filled with fast and fun times!

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 9
Opening of 2019 B.A.A. Distance Medley Registration  |  10:00 a.m.
Registration opens for the three-race series, which includes the B.A.A. 5K on April 13, the B.A.A. 10K, presented by Brigham and Women’s Hospital, on June 23, and the B.A.A. Half Marathon, presented by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund, on October 13. Registration will be held entirely online at www.baa.org, and will be limited to the first 3,000 runners.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 16
Opening of 2019 B.A.A. 5K Registration  |  10:00 a.m.
The B.A.A. 5K will be run on April 13, two days before the 2019 Boston Marathon, and will have a field size limit of 10,000 entrants. The start and finish is located on Charles Street adjacent to Boston Common and the Boston Public Garden. Registration will be held entirely online at www.baa.org.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 1 – MARCH 15
Opening of Boston Marathon Media Credential Application Window  |  10:00 a.m.
Applications for media credentials for the 2019 Boston Marathon can be submitted by visiting the following link beginning February 1 - https://www.baa.org/races/boston-marathon/media. Credential applications will close on Friday, March 15 at 5:00 p.m. ET. A future reminder of credential applications will be distributed in the coming month.

SUNDAY, MARCH 10
Boston Marathon Youth Jamboree  |  1:00 p.m.
For the third year, children pre-K through grade 8 can take to the track and field at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center to experience the joys of track and field alongside VIP clinicians. Olympians, Paralympians, B.A.A. High Performance Team members, and other guests traditionally help lead this free event for youths.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 13
Opening of 2019 B.A.A. 10K Registration  |  10:00 a.m.
The B.A.A. 10K, presented by Brigham and Women’s Hospital, is the second event of the 2019 B.A.A. Distance Medley, and will feature a field size of 10,000 entrants. The start and finish of the B.A.A. 10K is located on Charles Street adjacent to Boston Common and the Boston Public Garden. Registration will be held entirely online at www.baa.org.
THURSDAY, APRIL 11
B.A.A. Boston Marathon Press Conference  |  2:30 p.m.
A press conference highlighting notable attendees and themes of the 2019 Boston Marathon will be hosted by the B.A.A. at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel. Details will be distributed in the coming months.

FRIDAY, APRIL 12
John Hancock Elite Athlete Press Conference  |  10:00 a.m.
The John Hancock Elite Athlete Press Conference featuring professional athletes racing the 2019 Boston Marathon will be held at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel. Among the notable entrants for the 123rd Boston Marathon will be past champions, Olympic and World Championships medalists, and winners of Abbott World Marathon Majors races.

SATURDAY, APRIL 13
2019 B.A.A. 5K  |  8:00 a.m.
A field of 10,000 participants will kick off Boston Marathon weekend in style by racing the 11th annual B.A.A. 5K. The B.A.A. 5K takes participants on a scenic, flat, and fast course winding through Back Bay and across the Boston Marathon finish line before culminating on Charles Street between Boston Common and the Boston Public Garden. An elite field of world-class professional athletes will contend for the B.A.A. 5K title.

2019 B.A.A. Invitational Mile  |  10:30 a.m.
Following the B.A.A. 5K, some of the world’s fastest runners will compete in the B.A.A. Invitational Mile on Boylston Street at Copley Square Park. In addition, middle school and high school runners from the eight cities and towns along the Boston Marathon route will participate in 1,000 meter and one-mile races, respectively.

2019 B.A.A. Relay Challenge  |  12:30 p.m.
The 23rd annual B.A.A. Relay Challenge will feature youth athletes from approximately 20 Greater Boston schools competing in relay races on Boylston Street. An annual Boston Marathon weekend tradition, the B.A.A. Relay Challenge is the culmination of “Club 123”, a running program that introduces the benefits of running and active lifestyles to youths, and is supported annually by adidas.

SUNDAY, APRIL 14
2019 Boston Marathon Pre-Race Dinner  |  4:30 p.m.
Runners from across the country and around the world will unite for the 2019 Boston Marathon Pre-Race Dinner. Participants will fuel up on delicious foods and experience the camaraderie and high energy of this pre-race celebration.

MONDAY, APRIL 15
123rd Boston Marathon
A field of 30,000 will participate in the 123rd Boston Marathon, covering 26.2 miles from Hopkinton to Boston. The world’s oldest continually run marathon, the Boston Marathon brings together community spirit and the pursuit of athletic excellence on Patriots’ Day each year.

TUESDAY, APRIL 16
Boston Marathon Champions’ Press Conference  |  10:00 a.m.
This press conference, held at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel, will feature champions of the 2019 Boston Marathon and other notable finishers.

MONDAY, MAY 20
Talk & Walk with Tedy Bruschi and the B.A.A.  |  5:00 p.m.
The B.A.A. has partnered with Tedy’s Team, the American Heart Association, The Dimock Center, and Hood Fit, to create a forum where three-time Super Bowl champion and stroke survivor Tedy Bruschi can connect with members of the Boston community with the hopes of raising awareness of heart disease and stroke, while at the same time promoting active and healthy lifestyles. The event will be held at the Reggie Lewis Track & Field Athletic Center in Roxbury Crossing, MA.

SUNDAY, JUNE 23
B.A.A. 10K, presented by Brigham and Women’s Hospital  |  8:00 a.m.
The B.A.A. 10K, presented by Brigham and Women’s Hospital, is the second event of the 2019 B.A.A. Distance Medley, and will feature a field size of 10,000 entrants. The start and finish of the B.A.A. 10K is located on Charles Street adjacent to Boston Common and the Boston Public Garden.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 7
The Road to Wellness 5K  |  9:00 a.m.
The 5th annual Road to Wellness 5K Walk/Run is aimed at inspiring mind, body, and spiritual health through fitness while embracing Roxbury’s rich history, diverse culture, and strong sense of community. The B.A.A.’s collaboration with The Dimock Center and Hood Fit helps introduce participants to holistic health approaches through fitness resources, community events, and experiential fitness clinics.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 13
B.A.A. Half Marathon, presented by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund  |  8:00 a.m.
The B.A.A. Half Marathon, presented by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund, is the third and final event of the 2019 B.A.A. Distance Medley. The B.A.A. Half Marathon is run on a picturesque course that showcases the Emerald Necklace park system, Arnold Arboretum, Jamaicaway, and Franklin Park Zoo before finishing on the White Stadium track within Franklin Park.
