慈濟推動「111，茹素一日運動」，邀請您一同連署響應！

您知道嗎？2015年共有9個月氣溫打破歷史單月紀錄，所以2015年又成為歷史上最熱的1年。減少溫室氣體排放，實是刻不容緩的議題。

您 知道嗎？假如一人一天三餐都吃素，可減少2公斤以上二氧化碳排放。這是個公民意識抬頭與覺醒的年代，證嚴上人曾對眾呼籲：「人人要覺悟，天下安危跟天下人 相關；要平安，人人要有使命感；而危機，來自人人的自私。」慈濟於2016年發起「111，一日茹素運動」，即希望能在今年一月十一日，獲得111個城市 居民的響應支持，並募集11,100,000人上網連署。若能達到此目標，僅當天就能減少22,200噸二氧化碳排放,相當於7億4千萬棵樹，一天所吸收 二氧化碳的量。

「是人類需要大自然，不是大自然需要人類。」地球隨時都在自我調適及進化，但我們 呢？要確保控制全球暖化於2°C內，甚至更長期的1.5°C，「素食」是最有效且能最快速達成的做法。「世界人類存亡，從改變餐桌食物做起。」做1件事， 都是從1個決心，1個心念轉變開始，「111，茹素一日運動」，誠盼您力行響應！更期盼您進而一周一素、日日茹素，到生生世世。

劍橋合唱團2016新樂季招募中

一起來體驗合唱的磅礡之美！ 已有24年歷史的劍橋合唱團由一群喜愛合唱的學生及工作人士組成，主要演唱中文歌曲，也時常表演台語客語英語原住民曲目，獲得波士頓地區許多聽眾的肯定。將在五月下旬舉行2016春季公演，即日至一月底止將招募新團員。

現在開始號召更多喜愛唱的朋友加入這歡樂的大家庭。劍橋合唱團每週五晚間8點在 MIT 4-270教室練唱，歡迎喜歡唱歌或有合唱經驗的朋友，1/22，1/29 晚間7:00-8:00前來試音與參加練唱。試音請準備一首自選曲，並事先聯絡約定試音時段。
