(Boston Orange綜合報導)麻州第6國會選區候選人高丹尼（Dan Koh）今（11）日再下一城，爭取到美國前教育部長Miguel Cardona支持。他的競選團隊聲稱目前氣勢如虹，已有十幾名地方社區領袖，10個工會，前副總統賀錦麗背書，還在第一星期就籌到100萬元。
高丹尼的競選主軸，聚焦於「工薪家庭（Working Families）」、「教育資源」及「生活負擔能力（Affordability）」。
他強調要為人民解決生活成本危機（住房、育兒、雜貨）、改善公立教育安全與資源、捍衛勞工權利及民主。
高丹尼目前正在爭取得到麻州民主黨的參選提名。他以「有經驗的執行者」姿態參選，強調他在白宮，以及波士頓市，安多福鎮（Andover）等地方政府的資歷。目前已有 Cardona 和水管工人和煤氣工人的 Local 12工會 等的支持，顯示他正在鞏固「教育界」與「傳統勞工工會」兩大民主黨票倉。

Andover, MA – Today, Former U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona announced his endorsement of Dan Koh in the Massachusetts’ 6th Congressional District primary.
“As the former Secretary of Education, teacher, and AFT member, I know Dan Koh has the passion, drive, and dedication necessary to fight for students,” Cardona said. “While working closely with Dan, I admired his relentless advocacy for families. I endorse his ability to deliver real results for communities all across the Sixth District.”
A dad of two young kids, the fight for accessible, quality education and childcare is personal for Dan. In his endorsement, Cardona praised Dan’s commitment to improving public education.
“He would want to make sure schools are safe places for students,” Cardona said. “He’s the type of person that’s very passionate about providing services and democracy.”

He is a former union member who understands deeply how important it is that schools have the resources they need for all children to thrive,” Koh said. “I look forward to working closely with him both during the campaign and if I’m fortunate enough to be elected to Congress."
Koh’s campaign has gained critical early momentum thanks to the support of over a dozen local community leaders, ten union locals, and Vice President Kamala Harris, while raising over $1,000,000 in its first week.
