Malloy and leaders of six major labor unions endorsed William Tong for Mayor of Stamford. In his comments, Governor Malloy had this to say about William: "William is the hardest-working man in politics today. His vision is the right vision for the city of Stamford... and we need to work harder for William than we've ever worked for a political candidate" This message was reinforced by leaders of the AFL-CIO, UAW, SEIU, CWA, and UFCW, as they joined the governor in pledging their full support for William's candidacy.
