The Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Launches Boston Talent Academy as Part of National ACCE Initiative

New virtual certificate program provides practical, self-paced professional development for Greater Boston businesses and professionals

Boston, MA—The Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce is proud to launch the Boston Talent Academy, a virtual professional development program designed to help businesses and professionals strengthen communication, collaboration, leadership, and workplace performance.

The Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce is one of three chambers in the United States offering the Talent Academy, a national initiative led by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) and powered by Pravi, a strategy and learning firm focused on strengthening leadership, judgment, and organizational partnerships.

“Strong leaders and effective organizations are essential to business growth and Greater Boston’s long-term economic strength,” said James E. Rooney, President & CEO of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce. “Through the Boston Talent Academy, we’re building on our commitment of providing our talent with professional development opportunities that help businesses create opportunities for growth.”

The Academy provides businesses with a ready-to-use training option for professionals at all levels, including frontline staff, managers and supervisors, emerging leaders, and small and mid-sized business owners. By helping businesses invest in and develop their workforce, the Boston Talent Academy also supports the Chamber’s broader efforts to retain talent, strengthen businesses, and drive job growth across Greater Boston.

“Effective professional development should be practical, accessible, and easy to apply on the job,” said Erin Wederbrook Yuskaitis, Senior Director of Learning & Development at the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce. “The Boston Talent Academy gives individuals and employers a flexible, self-paced way to build essential workplace skills and put what they learn into practice right away.”

The Academy’s first course, Essential Communications, is a three-hour, self-paced program designed to strengthen workplace communication, helping participants develop skills in professional communication, active listening, productive feedback, and navigating difficult conversations. The virtual, on-demand format allows individuals and teams to complete the training on their own schedules. The Talent Academy is expected to expand with additional courses over time.

Enrollment in Essential Communications is now open. Individuals and employers can register for the course at BostonChamber.com.
