The New England Association of Chinese Professionals (NEACP) 紐英崙中華專業人員協會 is
organizing its 18th Culture Tour 文化之旅, visiting Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) on Friday,
June 22, 2018. This year the tour is co-sponsored by the Greater Boston
Taipei First Girls High School Alumni Association (BEINU-Boston) 波士頓北一女校友會.
Tour agenda and exhibition description see below. After the
tour, one could visit MFA’s other exhibitions at leisure or join the group for
dinner.
This event is open
to all who are interested on first-come-first-serve basis. Registration is required before Thursday,
June 14, 2018, or whenever the maximum number has reached.
Admissions for MFA, MFA-Special Exhibition, and parking are free for NEACP and
BEINU-Boston paid members and students. $20 for all others paid on the day of
tour. Maximum 40 people accepted. $40 per person for all dinner participants.

and Exhibitions on Friday, June 22, 2018 :
4:45 pm SHARP : Group meets at MFA Huntington Avenue
Entrance, and form two groups of 20 each.
MFA special event
office staff will greet group and
distribute complimentary admission tickets and parking validation. Nancy
Berliner and Katie Hanson will also meet the group at the Huntington Avenue
Entrance. A member of Development staff will join each group to keep time and
move the groups between tours
5 – 5:50 pm
· Group 1: Katie Hanson, curator of the
Monet Gallery, will join the group for behind-the-scenes stories into the
making of the installation and into the artist’s creative process. Gain a sneak
peek into her thoughts on the upcoming exhibition French Pastels: Treasures
from the Vault, opening June 30.
· Group 2: Nancy Berliner 白铃安, Wu Tung Senior
Curator of Chinese Art, will meet the group in the Song Gallery and look at the
Song scrolls that have been recently rotated into the gallery. You will then proceed to the ceramic gallery
where there is an early Ming meiping vase newly on display. Lastly, you will
visit the Seeking Stillness exhibition where there are Chinese rocks and Liu Dan’s
series of seven paintings of one rock.
此次導覽首先會參觀宋代展廳,特別是最近展列的兩幅精品佳作—王振鵬及(傳)董源的手捲畫作。而後,我們會到中國瓷器走廊,觀賞一件正在展出的、明前期永樂年間(1403-24)燒製的梅瓶。最後,我們會參觀 "Seeking
Stillness",其中的中國文人石展廳,理解它們的文化意涵及表達,並且觀看七幅由當代藝術家劉丹繪製的同題材大製作。
