(Boston Orange

South Cove Manor Hosts Holiday Celebration

South Cove Manor Hosts Holiday Celebration

South Cove Manor at Quincy Point, a rehabilitation and skilled nursing care community, hosted its annual Resident and Family Holiday Luncheon on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at South Cove Manor on Washington Street in Quincy. Nearly 130 guests were greeted by Santa then joined the 141 residents of South Cove Manor for a sumptuous luncheon, music performances, gifts and caroling.  A team of over 50 volunteers that included off duty staff and community members assisted with serving meals and providing entertainment, making this a memorable celebration for all.

Li Chen, Administrator of South Cove Manor, praised the staff, stating “The residents and families of South Cove look forward to this event every year.  Our talented Recreation, Food Service and Facilities staff plan an exciting day, and our employee and community volunteers provide music and all the extra time and attention needed for the residents to have a wonderful time.”

Founded in 1985, South Cove Manor moved in 2014 to an expanded, new state-of-the-art building at 288 Washington Street in Quincy.  The new campus significantly expanded South Cove’s rehabilitation capacity, and created a series of small resident communities for elders.
