WHAT:      The program
called “CHOICES- Steps toward Health” is a series of workshops, taught by an
UMass Chef/ Nutrition Educator, Keryn LeBlanc, to help families with limited
resources creates healthy low-cost meals.

Participants will
receive the following:
·      2
Personal Diet Diagnostic Reports, which will assess your present diet for
nutrients and calories against the recommendations.  One will be provided at enrollment and
another at graduation
·      Ten
colorful booklets and 8 lessons on getting the most nutrition and fitness for
your $$$
·      Recipes
that will be prepared and tasted in 2 lessons
·      A
Graduation Certificate of Participation.
·      An
“Eating Smart ~ Being Active, 44 recipe cookbook with healthy eating tips
·      Must
complete at least 5 lessons to receive a graduation certificate and cookbook
