麻州長Healey發聲明 催促川普總統簽署跨黨派住房法案

     (Boston Orange編譯) 麻州州長奚莉（Maura Healey）今(29)日發表以下聲明，敦促川普總統立即簽署國會已通過的跨黨派住房法案 - 21世紀住房之路法案（21st Century ROAD to Housing Act）。

    奚莉州長表示，「住房成本實在太高了，各個家庭都需要紓困——川普總統應該立刻簽署這項跨黨派住房法案。麻州的人，每天都在採取行動建造更多房屋，致力要讓人民更負擔得起在這裡的生活。代表麻州的聯邦參議員伊莉莎白·華倫（Elizabeth Warren）也在帶動跨黨派的凝聚共識、共襄盛舉。

    奚莉州長批評川普總統把心思放在建造他那棟愚蠢的、由納稅人買單的宴會廳（ballroom）上，還把這項法案當作人質，企圖藉此增加人民投票的難度。這一切簡直荒謬至極。

    她說，人們已經無法承受更久的延宕。川普總統需要履行職責，簽署這法案，著手降低美國人民的住房成本。

    奚莉州長也說明，她從自上任以來，就把降低住房成本和增加房屋產量列為首要任務之一。過去三年半，麻州已增加了超過 10 萬棟新住宅，同時推進了麻州首個全面的住房計劃。她還簽署了一項法案以取消由租客支付仲介費做法，並擴大了一項計畫，為首次購屋者提供 25,000 美元的頭期款補助以及更低的貸款利率。

Governor urges President Trump to stop delaying legislation that would help lower housing costs for families across the country 

BOSTON – Governor Maura Healey today issued the following statement urging President Trump to immediately sign the bipartisan housing bill approved by Congress: 

"Housing costs are too high and families need relief - President Trump should sign the bipartisan housing bill now. 

Here in Massachusetts, we’re taking action every day to build more homes and work to make it easier for people to afford to live here. Congress came together in a bipartisan way to do the same, led by our own Senator Elizabeth Warren. 

But President Trump is more focused on building his stupid taxpayer-funded ballroom and holding this bill hostage so he can make it harder for people to vote. It’s all just ridiculous. 

Families cannot afford any more delays. President Trump needs to do his job, sign this bill and get to work lowering housing costs for the American people." 

Since taking office, Governor Healey has made lowering housing costs and increasing housing production one of its top priorities. In just three years, Massachusetts has added more than 100,000 new homes, while advancing the state's first comprehensive housing plan, She also signed a bill eliminating renter-paid brokers’ fees and expanded a program to give first-time home buyers $25,000 in down payment assistance and lower mortgage rates.
