6 Local Businesses Celebrated for Immense Economic Growth & Impact


BOSTON, MA –The Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce is pleased to award six Massachusetts small businesses with the title of Small Business of the Year. The Chamber’s annual Small Business of the Year Awards celebrate the remarkable vision, resilience, and contributions of small businesses that lead in the categories of Talent Development & Inclusion, Cultural Excellence, Community Impact, Innovation and Growth, Small Business Champion, and CEO Leadership.

2025 Small Business of the Year Award Categories and Honorees are as follows:
Talent Development & Inclusion: Arka HR Solutions

Cultural Excellence: EmVision Productions

By partnering with visionary organizations, from grassroots nonprofits to global corporations, EmVision Productions enables social change through storytelling. EmVision’s internal culture is distinguished by their commitment to equity, trust, and collaboration.
Community Impact: Little Cocoa Bean Co.
Little Cocoa Bean Co. creates culturally diverse, ready-made, fresh and healthy baby and toddler food for parents. Served in a baby-friendly café setting, Little Cocoa Bean Co.’s nutritious meals benefit babies and families and community. Little Cocoa Bean Co. also designs and sells baby care items to help families access information, supplies, and services during the first 1,000 days of life.
With over 40 years of collective experience in clean energy, Better Together Brain Trust (BT2 Energy) advances clean energy solutions for their clients. To guide clients through their electrification journey, BT2 Energy utilizes innovative strategies to advance EV charging, while driving economic growth.
Small Business Champion: Shana Bryant Consulting
Shana Bryant Consulting specializes in impactful event planning, prioritizing successful collaboration with minority- and women-owned businesses through inclusive, community-focused events. Through successful events and partnerships, Shana Bryant Consulting has created $3 million in economic impact for the local community, creating meaningful opportunities for entrepreneurs and community members.
Founder of Catalyst Ventures Development, a real estate development and investment company, Darryl Settles identifies and develops groundbreaking initiatives that advance economic inclusion in Boston and the region. Darryl continues to lead and transform the local business community, specializing in the real estate, development, and hospitality sectors, while fostering partnerships and creating impact that benefit residents, business owners, and visitors.
