CITY OF BOSTON PRESENTS EMERGE: BOSTON'S ARTS FESTIVAL 
Boston - Wednesday, September 9, 2015 - The Mayor's Office of Arts and Culture is proud to host Emerge: Boston's Arts Festival (formerly (ähts): the Boston Art Festival),on Thursday September 10, 2015 from 5:00 to 10:30 pm. The one-night event will feature several visual arts showcases throughout Boston City Hall, including the Fay Chandler Emerging Artist Award and Exhibition, art vendors, and several installations. 

The festival kicks off in the City Hall's South Entrance Hall Courtyard Level at 5:30 pm with the Fay Chandler Award for Emerging Artists in memory of Fay Chandler, with support from the Chandler Family. 

A detailed schedule of events can be seen below:

*Architecture tours of City Hall will be given by Mark Pasnik at 5:45, 6:45, and 7:45. All tours will meet next to the elevators on the third floor.

6:00 to 7:00 pm Poet Laureate Danielle Legros Georges welcomes S.O.U.P. (Society Of Urban Poetry) 
7:00 to 7:30 pm   Dirty Water Brass Band - Marching Band
7:40 to 8:00 pm  Actress Tangella Large performing a scene from Daniel Beaty's new play, "Mr. Joy."  
8:00 to 10:30 
DJ Begbick (Controversy Boston) spins all varieties of hits plus international club music, from the Caribbean to South Africa to Spain.
