More than 100 colleges, non-profit partners and career-oriented organizations will share resources and help Boston Public Schools students get ready for college. Success Boston studies have shown that BPS students are more likely to enroll in and succeed in college if they have help filling out financial aid forms, taking the right courses in high school and find out about pathways to science and technology careers. At the Fair, students can attend workshops to learn about accessing Advanced Placement courses, careers in science and technology and the financial aid process.
“Our students in Boston are brilliant and talented, and it is our job to make sure they are well positioned for competitive post- secondary scholarships, college and career opportunities. This district-wide fair will allow them to also engage their families in this critical planning and decision making process!” Marsha Inniss-Mitchell – Director of College Readiness Initiatives
