The Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.), organizer of the Boston Marathon®, has issued its Schedule of Events for official participants in the 2015 Boston Marathon.


FRIDAY, APRIL 17

SATURDAY, APRIL 18

B.A.A. 5K
Boston Common
8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
An estimated 10,000 participants will take part in the seventh annual B.A.A. 5K from Boston Common. The race course will pass over the Boston Marathon finish line. Race registration opened to the general public in February and is now closed.

B.A.A. Invitational Mile
Boylston Street, Copley Square, Boston
10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
The Invitational Mile features some of the top professional and scholastic milers. High school and middle school athletes represent the eight host cities and towns of the Boston Marathon.

B.A.A. Relay Challenge
Boylston Street, Copley Square, Boston
1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
More than 20 middle schools from around Greater Boston will convene for the 19th consecutive year for the B.A.A. Relay Challenge. In the culmination of a month-long program taught by volunteer coaches, the relay challenge will feature students from all of the schools competing near the Boston Marathon finish line.


SUNDAY, APRIL 19

6:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. 
Participants celebrate their accomplishment, experience America’s most beloved ballpark, and view the World Series trophies.

TV/Online Broadcasts
The race will be televised live in its entirety locally on WBZ-TV (Channel 4), and the station will also be streaming live race coverage throughout New England on CBSBoston.com. The race will be broadcast nationally on Universal Sports, and online at UniversalSports.com.
