地方社團要求波市長候選人 9/6 談就業機會

On Friday, September 6, 2013, there will be a forum held to hear from mayoral candidates about their plans for job creation in Boston. This event is being hosted by five community and jobs coalitions: Action for Regional Equity, Boston Jobs Coalition, Community Labor United, Right to the City Boston, and Youth, Justice and Power Union.
Topics will include:
Increasing access to construction and permanent jobs for Boston residents, specifically people of color and women.
Setting a city standard for wages and benefits for jobs in companies that receive city funds or tax breaks.
Expanding access and funding for youth summer and year round jobs.
Raising job quality and standards, the right to form unions, and increasing the minimum wage.
  Ending discrimination in public hiring.
The forum will take place September 6, 2013, 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. at the Reggie Lewis Center Gymnasium, 1350 Tremont Street, Boston.
