Strike 3 Awards over $440,000 in Research and Treatment Grants in 2012

Monroe, CT, December 12, 2012 – The Strike 3 Foundation, a charitable organization that mobilizes support, heightens awareness, and raises funding for pediatric cancer research, today announced that it will disperse over $440,000 in grants to research and treatment institutions nationwide before year’s end.
“2012 represented a banner year for this organization. Earlier this summer we eclipsed the $1,000,000 mark in total funds raised. We not only saw an increase in total annual revenue, but also more widespread recognition of our mission, greater visibility across national channels, and broader corporate support. Fittingly, in our most successful fiscal year, we are able to disseminate our largest awards and impact deserving research and treatment institutions across the country. It has truly been a remarkable year,” said Strike 3 Foundation CEO Craig Breslow.
The Strike 3 Foundation awarded grants to The Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital, as the founding sponsor of the pediatric bone marrow transplantation program, The Conquer Cancer Foundation of the American Society for Clinical Oncology, funding 4 Young Investigator Awards, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and the Children’s Hospital of Oakland Research Institute, sponsoring a Siblings and Survivors program for the second consecutive year.
